County Court Summons
County Court Summons is issued because the lender has asked the court to make compulsory payment. If you receive a Summon in the post, you do not require to panic!
The Summons issued by the court is designed to institute how much you can afford to pay the creditor towards the arrears. You are asked by the court to complete an income and expenditure form and to provide details of your other debts. The courts, by these details make out or analyze what you can afford. After receiving a County Court Summons from the courts (usually printed on blue paper), you need to take instant action, if you fail to respond then it could result further action from the courts and it may put you in grave situation.
You will receive, in the post, a bundle from the court containing the following:-
"Claim Form" containing details of the creditors’ case and the charges they have put against you.
"Admission Form" for conclusion if the claim is not contested.
A "Defence and Counterclaim Form" for completion if there is any doubt in debt or it has been disputed.
"Acknowledgement of Service"
he entire pack you receive must be taken care of within 14 days. An extra 14 days you get if the "Acknowledgement of Service" is completed and posted back.
